According to the report in the Washington Post, the Washington Wizards are shopping the services of forward Andray Blatche.
Citing two unnamed Western Conference executives, The Post reported on Tuesday that the Wizards are in the process of determining if moving Blatche is in the best interest of the team.
Blatche leads the Wizards in scoring (16.8 points) and he is second in rebounding (7.9). Blatche just recently returned from a one-game suspension for his involvement in a fight with teammate JaVale McGee, whom the Post also reports is not on the trading block.
The Wizards recently signed Blatche to a three-year extension that will pay him $28 million.
Even though Blatche has been somewhat of a problem child, he does appear to have a pretty decent ceiling...

Washington Wizards guard Kirk Hinrich left Wednesday's game against Indiana with a bruised left thigh. He was ruled out of the game after departing early in the second quarter. Hinrich, who entered the game averaging 11.6 points and 5.1 assists, played 12 minutes without scoring. He's the only Wizards player to play all 30 games.

Washington coach Flip Saunders will miss the Wizards' game Wednesday night against Indiana "due to a family emergency involving his mother." Assistant coach Randy Wittman will substitute for Saunders, who is in his second season as Washington's coach. Entering Wednesday's game, the Wizards are 7-22.

The Washington Wizards suspended forward Andray Blatche and center JaVale McGee for one game Saturday for conduct detrimental to the team. They will miss the team's game Sunday at San Antonio. "After further investigation into an incident on Thursday night, we concluded that Andray and JaVale conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner," Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld said.

There are any number of things associated with their 2010-11 season that the Wizards want to forget, but nothing more than the awful road performance of the team.
The Wizards failed to win a single road game in November and December. While they are 8-7 at Verizon Center, their 0-16 road record is by far the worst in the league. No other team is winless on the road.
Right before they went to Indiana for a matinee to face a team they beat on Wednesday, Wizards center JaVale McGee sounded as though he had no confidence that the team might defeat the Pacers on New Year's Eve.
"It's going to be a tough game on Friday against Indiana," said McGee, the team's starting center.
