    Arron Afflalo

There's been a lot of debate around Affalo. Is he a cornerstone, or just more trade bait?

I think Afflalo has to be a part of their future. He's locked in for 3 years, and he's a really nice player.

But crazier things have happened, maybe the Magic were desperate to get Dwigh off their hands. Remember how AI got on Denver?

Afflalo is part of our long term plans. Right now I see the team like this:

Mo Harkless, Andrew Nicholson and Arron Afflalo are pretty much untouchable; of course every team has their price but they are the least likely to get traded.

He's probably gonna have his biggest year to date and he's improved every year he's been in the league. I've been reading on his reaction and he seems like he's excited to play so it really fits into the culture Hennigan and Vaughn are trying to illustrate.

If it was my choice I would let our rookies start so they get more experience as the Magic take steps for the future. The rookies should be getting all the experience possible so we can harness their potential possibly available.

Back to Afflalo I think he is going to stay. He will be our key player for the next 2-3 years which is okay. I think a leadership role will do him well. I really like Arron but not his contract. I think that he will have his best season to date. Let us not forget that he has improved every year since coming to the league. This season is not different.

Afflalo is a good player, can get better with time and good coaching. They should keep him unless they get some crazy good deal for him, which isn't likely.

I do think that he is a very good player. It is the contract that makes me not like him. I think it maybe worth it though if he plays well this season. Career highs as I mentioned earlier in this thread.

I don't really see what's wrong with his contract. It's a long term deal, but a fair dollar amount.

He's going to score 20 PPG next season, probably not much more or less than that, on good percentages and play great defense.

trade bait, but will play him for a bit for his value to go up. honestly if he scores like 20PPG, his value will go up heaps, meaning teams will clamor over him, meaning they may just be able to get rid of Hedo or get a good pick or deal him for a youngster package or a good youngster

I do not think he is trade bait. He suits the culture/views that the Magic are now trying to play. He is going to be the leader of this team along side Jameer Nelson.

But every man has their price. I think that if the right deal comes (that is lottery picks and young talent) then we very well could see something happen.

    Unlikely though.

We're all gonna roast Afflalo went he averages 12 pts a game next year. He's a support player, not a go to guy.
