Sonics Durant teaching kids -- and himself -- to eat better (AP)

Kevin Durant wants kids to get out, play and stay healthy. He also understands that some of the things that might keep kids from doing it are some of his favorite hobbies, too. Representing the NBA's "Fit" team, Durant and Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Morris Peterson visited a middle school Friday to teach dribbling drills, lead layup lines and deliver a message about eating healthy...

Sonics Fan reaction: Oklahoma City Thunder's dynamic duo heats up and downs Orlando (Associa

The Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant finished last season as the NBA scoring leader, with 30.1 points-per-game. He started off this season slow but heated up recently and his average is back up to 28.3. Durant remains one of the toughest players in the NBA to defend thanks to the presence of teammate Russell Westbrook, a 22-year old wunderkind who is averaging 21.9. With both men on the court, it is impossible for defenses to know who to focus on.

Sonics Local fan reaction: Magic get zapped by the Thunder - 124 Orlando, 125 Oklahoma City

Thunder hits the courts Just 24 hours after falling short against the Hornets, the Orlando Magic played the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, at the OKC Arena to a sold out crowd. The game was nationally televised on TNT. It's interesting to note that players and critics alike will give both positive and negative credit to how the game is played based on whether the game was nationally televised or not; but does that really make a difference? Game favorite Each game I watch I tend to have a different favorite shooter.

Sonics Local fan: Lakers get back on track against Thunder on MLK Day (Associated Content)

The Oklahoma City Thunder had a dream... To beat Western Conference foe LA Lakers in a rematch of last year's first round of the NBA Playoffs. As a Lakers' fan and LA native, I was glad to see that they had some dreams of their own to fulfill that day. After a disappointing loss to the cross-town rival LA Clippers on Sunday, the LA Lakers needed a big bounce-back to keep this season on the right path. With the Thunder heading into town, I was a little skeptical as to whether they could weather the storm or not.

Sonics Durant's first game-winner lifts Thunder 101-98 (AP)

Kevin Durant made a 3-pointer from the right wing as time expired and finished with 30 points to lift the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 101-98 win against the New York Knicks on Saturday night. Durant was tightly guarded by Danilo Gallinari but connected while leaning back in front of the Knicks bench to extend New York's losing streak to six games -- matching their longest of the season.

Sonics Local reaction: Oklahoma City Thunder hold off Knicks, prepare to host Hornets (Asso

The Oklahoma City Thunder pulled it together in the second half to beat the New York Knicks, 101-98, in Oklahoma City Saturday night. The Thunder trailed after every quarter but the fourth, sending the Knicks home following a 5-game losing streak. The first half ended with the Knicks ahead 60-53, with the Knicks having scored 19 fast-break points. That should have never happened with the young legs of the Thunder team. Thunder coach, Scott Brooks thought so too and let his team know it at halftime.
