Thunder Exercise Options On Harden, Ibaka, Maynor, Mullens, Aldrich

The Oklahoma City Thunder has exercised contract options on five players Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced today.

The Thunder exercised its fourth-year options on guard James Harden, forward Serge Ibaka, guard Eric Maynor and center Byron Mullens, as well as its third-year option on center Cole Aldrich.

I'm not surprised they didn't exercise the options for these players. I have enjoyed watching all players develop into the players they are today.

Maynor, Ibaka and Harden are musts for this team. I didn't see much of the other two though. But that had a very nice season. No point changing what's working.

^ I think Presti might still be hoping one of the two can develop into a decent bench player. The Thunder are pretty slim when it comes to bigs. Perkins, Ibaka, and Collison and that's pretty much it.
