He didn't have his bus fare, ran away and the police shot him.
Looking at some of the comments allegedly he had a gun and fired off a round at the police even though no weapon was recovered........

the fuck? How has youtube not taken this down.
Don't really have an opinion since I don't know whether or not he fired at the cops
Regardless of what happened I want to know why the cops are still standing over him guns drawn when its obvious he's on his way to death. I don't have a clear opinion on it yet for the same reason but regardless he was shot running away. There's no evidence of any gun from him so right now it looks like the police are at fault.
And for those that say well why did he run for not having bus money I may have an explanation. I catch public transit everyday. Random days cops will get on and ask for proof of ticket or wait until you get off. Here, they can charge you a 500 dollar ticket if you ride without a ticket. Also they run a background check on you and if you have warrants they can arrest you. Maybe that's why he ran, idk.I've personally seen a guy not have a ticket, the police arrest him, call for backup tell everyone else to keep moving and just surround this dude while he's laying on the floor.
Fuckin racist cop bitches.

Seeing this stuff really pisses me off and I'ma mellow person. You don't shoot someone in the back while they are running away! Cops get away with this kind of stuff way too often and enough is enough. Think about it, we only got a few of these cases on tape, which is why they are creating controversy, but real talk this happens weekly even daily in some cities in the USA and cops get away with it because there is no footage or witnesses. Even if he had a weapon, obviously he wasn't shooting anymore at them because he was running away, his back was to them, he was of no danger at that point. Taze the dude and arrest him, don't end his life over a stupid bus fare, wtf, come on man...and these people are paid to PROTECT us? Nah man...
Michael Beasley...Future of the NBA
tragic. the uproar in australia if this ever happened would be astronomical
According to what I've read, the man who was killed had a lengthy rap sheet, and when confronted about the bus ticket, he ran from officers. There was gunshot residue found on his right hand and data from the ShotSpotter gunshot-location system, which showed that three separate firearms unloaded ten shots over six seconds. The kid's gun fired the first shot and then eight more shots were fired from the officers.
It's believed that the gun flew out of his hand several feet away when the kid was shot. In fact, a different YouTube video shows a passer-by picking up that gun and walking off with it. Since the officers claimed they did not see where the gun was, they kept their guns drawn.
When looking at the evidence of what happened, I'm okay with how the police handled this situation. No one likes to see a young kid get killed, but I think emotions run high because people react before having all of the information.

The thing that is appalling in my opinion is that he was left there to die bleeding on the ground while the police did nothing.
