    Microsoft


    Overview - Damn man I just watched Microsoft and they fell soooooooooo damn short huge disappointment They tried pushing the Kinect tooo much with these games. There were bright spots but they fell short.

    Positives - Halo 4 is what i will say. Halo 4 is back man that will be good to see the franchise back. Also MW3 looks great with game play and looks to be one of the game of the year contender. Gears of War looks great but I think this Kinect is Bull Shit i rather use my controller. Also having Microsoft re mastering and re releasing Halo Combat Evolved is nice seeing them. Plus a new tomb raider looks nice. Mass Effect 3 is huge it looks great we will see more in my next post about EA conference. Plus live TV.

    Negatives - KINECT. Come on Microsoft many gamers dont have space or the time to transition to Kinect. Its going to be so hard for gamers to transition to the thing. Yes Ghost Recon looks nice with taking your weapon apart but it will take time for the hardcore gamer to get used to the new controls. Xbox went with Overkill on Kinect. Sure Kinect Star Wars is great idea but it won't get someone to go out and buy a 200 dollar device and use it. I bought mine and barely use it. Xbox better be ready cause it looks like the Kinect will flop.

    Review - As for Xbox they are staying true to there core Franchise's (Halo,Forza,and Gears of War). Its great to hear those franchise's are getting sequel's or new installments to there games. Though I do feel they went Overkill on Kinect. I felt disappointed. It's great having those franchise's but we need something fresh. With Sony with there scandal and Nintendo revealing Project Cafe that will reach to the Hardcore Gamers. Xbox better be ready for this yr its going to be tough.

    Up Next Today - 1st EA , 2nd Ubisoft , and lastly Sony tonight.

    Hope EA has a basketball game this year. With the ratings for TV being higher than ever, maybe they'll try and make a good game this year to cash in on it.

    Overview - EA did great with there games. They got some franchise's and gave them nice sequels. There graphics look great. They really did a nice job on getting new games and getting them in nice spots. There were great games and very good demos on the games.

    Positives - Man o Man EA did a great job. MW3 might have been trumped by Battlefield 3 with the Frostbite 2. Great Demo on Battlefield 3. Mass Effect 3 looks amazing graphics look good weaponry is off the charts very sharp looking game. Need for Speed is Amazing. They added action to it. Man the guy jumped and jumped in NFS and escaped a train man o man great game. The New Sims Facebook Game You Play With Your Friends looks Awesome to play on. They did a pretty nice job. Plus the Makers of Rachet and Clank (PS3 PS2 Game) announced a game Overstrike which looks to be a a great game with humor and high tech weaponry. On the Sports side EA only talked about Madden in which they brought Ray Lewis, Clay Matthews (With the Lombardy Trophy) and the cover boy Peyton Hillis. They also said about a new Service for the FIFA 12 which looks better than ever which is Football Club which is like Madden Moments in which you and your favorite go back in moments and do them to earn points to level up and plus you are trying to get your team to the top.

    Negatives - Unless there is any I think the lack of sports games. It looks like all of EA Sports is SSX (Ski Game doesn't look good) Madden and FIFA. You have to say NBA Live was a huge part of there success and just taking a year researching and finding ways to bring a revolution to the game is a good idea. 2 years back you would Live trumps 2k. Well then why not go back and make it. I have to say there weren't many negatives.

    Review - EA did a nice job today. They pretty much set a bar for Ubisoft to trump up if they can. They got some nice titles that are being released and great innovations. They have great franchise's and they look to do well this year. I would to have seen more but we have to see these great titles.

    Just a follow up to B-Easy's comment on EA has nba game. A NBA Elite is in the works but its werid they didnt say anything about at E3 probably more info will come out at TGS (Tokyo Game Show) like in july or august

    Overview - This is Ubisoft's 25 year in the industry and they look to continue with there great success with there titles such as the Tom Clancy Series, Assassins Creed and the Far Cry series. They look to bring some nice titles to the table to compete with EA. They had an Ok show could have done better but they brought a couple nice titles.

    Positives - The Bring Back Assassins Creed in new sequel called Revelations which is a boost for Ubisoft as for there premier franchise. Trailer looked sharp. Good Graphics and nice controls. The Bring back a old franchise the Driver series has returned and the installment takes place in SF. Another old series that was brought back was the Rayman series. Ubisoft turned the script and brought many old games back. Far Cry 3 looked sick. Damn its going to be a good game it had amazing graphics and great controls. Plus the Storyline was nice when they did the demo. The Just Dance series and there Fitness game for Xbox is returning for a sequel. Recon looked amazing. Plus this new Guitar game that will allow players to plug there own guitar was interesting to say the least.

    Negatives - They pulled a Ubisoft. Ubisoft has a tendency to do movie games or book games. We had the Avatar Game which looked flat out great but fell short of expectations. Ubisoft pulled one of those again by bringing Tin Tin. Ok how the heck are you going to sell a French Comic book turned into a Movie going to sell on shelfs. Yes you have Spielberg directing the movie but come on you could have been making a shooter instead of this.

    Review - Ubisoft was ok and they could have done better. They needed to bring more chips to the table if they want to get to the level of EA. They barely had new games which hurts a lot in a stand point where every one is bring back sequel's. This was the year Ubisoft could have brought something new and stole E3. Sony has there PSN scandal which they have to fix. Microsoft from the gecko was going bring kinect games. Nintendo was going to be focused on Project Cafe and 3DS. So really Ubisoft lost out in a very wide open E3 in which they could have won out.
