Last weekend, I attended the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. The Conference focuses on different issues in sports, and how analytics fit into those issues, and was organized by Daryl Morey, GM of the Houston Rockets. Other panelits included Bill Simmons, Jeff Van Gundy, Malcolm Gladwell, Mark Cuban and many others from the sports and sports media worlds.
I wrote a recap of the conference for Canis Hoopus entitled, "A Stranger in a Strange Land" and broke it into three installments. I figured some of you might be interested in reading them:
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
They are long (about 3K-5K words per installment) but I think they are worth a read.
