Kobe Bryant scored 30, but it wasn't enough for the Lakers, who lose Game 1 at home in overtime. Rudy Gay led the Grizzlies with 26.

Dwyane Wade had 23, Chris Bosh had 12 and 12, and the Heat squeak out Game 1 by 5. Steve Nash led Atlanta with 31.

LeBron James was brilliant, scoring 40 points on 26 shots. Mike Miller also contributed 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Derrick Rose led all scorers with 25, but the Bulls lose by 14 after being outscored 57-29 in the first half. Pau Gasol and Jameer Nelson each had 19.

Dirk Nowitzki had 26 for the Knicks, but the Pacers were led by Roy Hibbert and Danny Granger, who each had 25. Hibbert also had 18 rebounds.
