-> The Houston Rockets are actively looking to trade veteran power forward Luis Scola, according to league sources briefed on Houston's plans. Although a specific trade partner for Houston has not yet emerged, sources told ESPN.com that the Rockets -- stocked with big forwards after coming away with Royce White and Terrence Jones in the NBA draft earlier this week -- are working to find a new home for Scola as they rebuild their roster.

-> Veteran guards Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin have also been made available in various trade scenarios by the Rockets as they continue to stockpile young assets as part of their well-chronicled intent to pursue Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard or another franchise player in trade scenarios

-> The Pacers are also expected to contact point guard Deron Williams' agent, but the top free agent on the market is expected to re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets or go to Dallas. Future Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash also reportedly has a small list of teams he wants to sign with; however the Pacers aren't one of them.

-> The Pacers also plan to work the phones in an attempt to add another big man and scorer on the wing. Guards Brandon Roy and O.J. Mayo are two wings players the Pacers plan to pursue. Jamal Crawford could also be a possibility.

-> Indiana Pacers general manager Kevin Pritchard kept the details vague but the team plans to be aggressive with free-agent center Roy Hibbert.

-> The Pacers will also be meeting with free agent guard George Hill once he returns from vacation. The team's free agency strategy is simple. Re-sign Hibbert and Hill so they can keep their starting unit together, then add pieces to their bench.

-> Chris Tomasson: Mavs guard Jason Terry just wrote in an email to me he "definitely'' will consider the Miami Heat when free agency starts Sunday.

-> Demps said they will explore if unrestricted free agent Chris Kaman is interested returning. If he agrees, Kaman would likely draw a contract from the Hornets that pays him considerably lower than his $14 million salary earned last season.

-> Brian K. Schmitz: Possible options for Jameer Nelson: Phoenix, Chicago, Philly, Lakers, Brooklyn (if D-Will is in Dallas).

-> Center Kyrylo Fesenko is open to re-signing with the Pacers. He only played in three games after being acquired late in the season.

-> Tom Moore: Among Philadelphia FA candidates are Kris Humphries of Nets (unrestricted), Eric Gordon from Hornets (restricted) and Sixers Lou Williams and Spencer Hawes.

Sixers do not make qualifying offer on Jodie Meeks

He could definitely be a guy to pursue now that he is an unrestricted FA.

Sheridan Hoops is absolutely reporting that the Wolves have decided not to offer Beasley the QO.

    ...

This also means that Beasley basically can't go to LAL
