The 35 year tenure of the nets will come to a close at the end of the 2011-2012 season, awaiting them in BK is a Brand new $1 billion Arena, one of the nations biggest markets and a young talented team who will show a new exciting brand of basketball.
“Brooklyn was easy, because we think Brooklyn is the brand,” said Brett Yormark, the Nets’ chief executive. “Brooklyn is iconic. It transcends the marketplace. In many respects, it’s a global name and reference.”
A marketable team is not the only thing this move will provide, With the most talented team in the league showing the signs of being one of the most formidible rosters in recent league history, setting the scene to be one of the most amazing debuts for a team in history.
