    Nuggets Holding Melo Deal Back

A three-team trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to the Nets is closer than ever, but the Nuggets are still reluctant to pull the trigger.

J.A. Adande of ESPN.com's True Hoop spoke to three executives on Sunday night that said Denver has been holding up the completion of the trade.

"You've got to understand you're dealing with a first-time GM [Masai Ujiri] and a first-time president [Josh Kroenke]. They've got to come to grips with the fact they're trading Carmelo Anthony," the executive said
The Deal is right now is

    Nets Get
    Melo,Billups and Richard Hamilton

    Nuggets Get
Derrick Favors,Devin Harris,Anthony Morrow, Quinton Ross, Ben Uzoh, Stephan Graham and 2 1st Round Picks

    Pistons Get
    Johan Petro and Troy Murphy

Now the Nuggets want the Nets to take Al Harrington who has 4yrs 28m left on his contract.

On Melo Extension the Nets are soo confident that Melo will sign a extension that they don't think a meeting with Mikhail Prokorov and Jay Z is not nessacary any more.

With Reports out of Billups Camp is that he wants to be bought out after the season or the nets to give Billups a Long Term Extension.

Also The Pistons have shown interest to get Devin Harris since the Nuggets want to Devlop Ty Lawson. Another Rumor is that Harris gets traded to Portland or Dallas.

Man the Nuggets want more and more and more. They just need to take the deal or let the guy walk and get nothing.

They leave the PF spot very vulnerable by trading Murphy and Favors. But I'm sure their starting line up will still be good enough to win games.

Could always play Lopez at the four and start Humphries.

Honestly, I think the Nets could be lethal. RIP is back with Chauncey, they where one of the best front courts of the decade. Melo's gonna have the floor open to him. They'll make a run for the playoffs and scare some teams. I wouldn't want to play these guys first round.

Or the other way around. Didn't Humphries play PF previously?

Wow, Portland is really getting in the mix now? I was just trying to fit Portland in, to make a 4-team trade and had this idea:

    NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

    What do you guys think?

Also, RealGM is saying that Denver wants Al Harrington involved in the trade too...

Chris Broussard of True Hoop is reporting that the hold-up in the three-team trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey is Al Harrington.

Denver wants to include Harrington, who has four years and $28 million left on his contract, in the blockbuster deal.

The Nuggets want the Nets to take on Harrington, but New Jersey is wary of his contract.

Why did Denver even sign Harrington to that contract if they are now so desperate to get rid of him?

Thats what I was wondering, but apparently its related to trying to save on tax. If the deal goes through what team will the Nets have in 3 years? RIP and Billups will be gone, and so will half of the current roster.
