yea, he's the best lyricist of all-time in my books
thanks dude. is canibus one of your favorite rappers?
2000 B.C. Can-I-Bus Rip The Jacker
yo man so im trynna get hip to cannibus but dont know where to start. could you recommendto me two or three of his most complete albums? by complete i mean overall his best ones, and im specifically looking for ones that are consistent with good songs from top to bottom rather than just a couple good tracks. let me know which three i should download
props to them for original production.... as for the rapping..... corny and choppy flows, no presence in their voices, kindergarten rhyme schemes, no punchlines/metaphors/similies.. at least not one that I can remember or one that hit/resonated with me sorry if that sounded harsh They sound like they are just starting out though, so that's not really a surprise, it's hard to find a comfort zone with rap and develop a legitimate personality and style on the mic Soul Quest was probably their best display of rapping
hey man check out two of my good friends mixtape they just dropped. they made all the beats and raps (besides traveling music and the proxy music obviously). if you ever get a chance to check it out, will you let me know what you think? im trynna relay back to them the crticism/praise it gets. and i know you know your hip hop shit so i wanna know what you think. check it out: The Black & Mild Bros. - The Ghost Life Hosted by Jimi Black, James Mild // Free Mixtape @ DatPiff.com my favorite songs are gameplan, judy jones, one hit, inspiration, how bout you, and ghost life (phat antics)
eminem goes crazy with intersyllabics/internal rhyming- I sit back with this pack of Zig-Zags and this bag Of this weed it gives me the shit needed to be The most meanest MC on this, on this Earth he rhymes "sit back" with "this pack" and then "zig-zag" and "this bag" all in the same line, and in the second line is rhyming "this weed" with "gives me" and "shit need" and "MC".... so yeah, he has schemes within schemes which are rhyming internally.
multisyllabics are rhyming more than one syllable, and intersyllabics are internal rhyming within a bar. Multisyllabics, Big L was the king: I'm undefeated that's the stone truth Cause battlin' me is like fightin' a gorilla in a phone booth He didn't just rhyme "truth" with "booth", the rhyme is stone-truth with phone-booth (stone/phone and truth/booth both rhyme). That's a 2-syllable multisyllabic. 3-syllable example would be- I throw slugs at idiots, no love for city cops I sport a pretty watch, eight-hundred and fifty rocks As opposed to just rhyming "cops" and "rocks", he rhymes "city" with "fifty" also, so its city-cops and fifty-rocks. There's also internal rhyming there with id-i-ots/city-cops and pretty watch/fifty rocks.
and i changed this: ayo its gotten to the point where no fucks were given i only fucks with bud, and then i fucks with women
whats an example of the multisyllabics and intersyllabics things
