No, he's the most common thing ever man. Most centers in the league do what he does man, obviously:
A CHINESE "7 foot 6 with a terrific jumpshot, finesse game around the basket as well as being a defensive anchor..."

No need to be a smart ass...

main reason why I made the thread is most consider him not a hall of famer for basketball reasons (he'll get in as a "contributor" for sure) and yet was such a unique and fantastic player..............i miss him so much

Id be great if another tim duncan or yao type player sprung up in the next 15 years. Yao was a beast but still had major toughness issues, like letting nate robinson block his shot at the rim.

We won't ever see such a great ambassador to the game of basketball like Yao Ming was EVER again. The NBA can thank Yao for the billions of extra revenue they are getting from Chinese interest in league. Yao was and still is an upstanding citizen, a very funny guy, humble, nice, and interesting to watch in post-game conferences. I just don't think we will ever see a player quite like Yao Ming ever again if you think about it. We will see more Kobes, Durants, Tmacs, even Lebrons, but not another player similar to Yao in terms of background, skillset, and the other intangibles Yao brought.
