Bulls Boozer leads Bulls past Pistons in overtime (AP)

The Chicago Bulls almost gave away a game Sunday night. In the end, though, the two best players on the floor made the difference. Carlos Boozer had 31 points and 11 rebounds, Derrick Rose added 23 points and 12 rebounds and the Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 95-92 in overtime. "This was ugly, but sometimes in this league, you've got to win ugly," Boozer said.

Bulls Road Warriors: Clippers top Bulls for 2nd straight (AP)

Derrick Rose was confident he'd make both free throws with 0.8 seconds left. His former coach, Vinny Del Negro, thought so, too. Rose hit the first Saturday night to bring the Chicago Bulls within a point. But he misfired on the second, the horn sounded and Del Negro had a triumphant return to the United Center as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Bulls 100-99.

Bulls Bulls Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Ultimately, all that really matters for the Bulls is the bottom line. They were able to shrug off a shaky performance against New Jersey on Friday because they won for the 12th time in the last 14 games.

"You've got to win different ways," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "We were struggling offensively, but the defense was good. I would have liked to get the ball in the paint a little more than we did tonight."

Both teams shot below 40 percent from the field on Friday, and the Bulls let their lead slip to just two points midway through the fourth quarter. But they also improved to 15-1 this season against teams that currently have a losing record.

Bulls Top sports mascot headlines (Associated Content)

Love 'em or hate 'em, sports mascots are and will remain an important part of our culture. Mascots are supposed to bring luck to the teams they represent, but we know that always doesn't happen. It is unclear who the first mascot was to represent an athletic team, but estimates say mainstream mascots got their start sometime in the 1950s.
